ADL’s with Rosie
Let’s start a book today. I was thinking about the title being “ADL’s w/ Rosie.”
I used an image generator to mash up the look of Jessica Rabbit with Rosie the Riveter. I’m going to try dictating a majority of the chapters.
In chapter one, I plan on first saying thank you to “Rosie” expressing gratitude for allowing me to run with my methods of madness.
Why explain my unfamiliar ways of rehab… in chapter two. Maybe in this chapter, I will expand on not conforming.

Chapter 1: "Thanks for the Toolbox, Rosie"
"Dear Rosie,
Your iconic fist and fearless spirit inspired me to shatter rehab conventions.
Thank you for lending me your courage to challenge traditional methods.
My unconventional approach to healing through adaptive fitness and journaling was once met with skepticism...
Until lives were transformed.
Until “my” life transformed. Let’s not get bogged down with names and pronouns and new age lunacy, okayyy? Thanks.
Please avoid nitpicking as I draft this catalog of raw thoughts. Chapters, subchapters, titles and headers might not align with each other or remain consistent. We are not going to get hangry ok!?
Note: IM a bodybuilder in my head. I see myself a little bit like Sam Sulek, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mr. T, Slim Shady and Superman in some respects. IM going to run with it. I am looking forward to embracing the new strength. I currently sit on a fundraising committee at my local nonprofit. I attend an open gym, and adaptive sports center they run twice a week. I go to physical therapy twice a week and I exercise my brain twice a week in scheduled cognitive therapy sessions. I am currently 23 years post head injury and trauma induced coma. Everything I do is because I have God walking beside me fighting my battles for me.

Chapter 2:
My unconventional rehab, rejecting the rules.
Screw haters. Reject the box they try to put you in. The only class system you need to worry about is being held on a TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY schedule. Spread your wings. Stop haultng how much you take on being mindful of “limitations.” Stop capping successes. Progress can be made every single day. Big gains are not necessary or anticipated. Scale your output to remain consistent. Avoid dwelling over missed chances. Do the best you can at life and let the ashes fall wherever the wind takes them.

Chapter 3: Expect More
Remember, God is on your side. You have everything you need, the muscles, the energy, the gauze for occasional tripping. Make the world work for you. Don’t be scared. Fear will mess you up. Keeping fear in a glass tank and poking it strategically might excite you for a week, or a month or years, but that’s leaving your highs up to unmanageable levels. Having hope IS admirable but it’s very hard to explain to those in your corner your plans for execution not knowing if the blood is still pumping. Set a schedule. Schedule rest days. Front load routines. Explain to those around you that you have to do what’s best for you. If they do not want to be included in life-changing adaptations and changes for the better they can stay on the sidelines. They know where to find you. Don’t chase people. Leave the door wide open. Encourage others all you want, but realize that energy can be used better.
