**FULL DRAFT OF "REMEMBER ME, DARLING"**

You started writing this morning. I woke up to:

This is day one. Mark it on your calendar. 
We are already married. 
You were in an accident. 
You “quite cutely” get the chance to wake up every day with a cleared recollection and fresh slate. 
I am looking forward to following through on every piece of information you sometimes get flashbacks of and have trouble putting into words exactly right. 
Your name SOMETIMES escapes you and you enjoy our name game. 
You spin this wheel and work to respond to that name for the full day or until we spin it again.

Seagulls gawk, waves crash, we’re waking up on the beach.

*GROGGY EYES OPENING*

Waves... sand... YOU. 
My gaze locks onto yours – 
Confused smile spreads across my face...
 
"Husband?" (voice barely above whisper) 
Seagulls cry louder as if prompting me – 
My eyes narrow slightly… 
"Do I… know you?" 

You corrected me to say 
“GM Puma. How did you sleep?”

*DISORIENTED SMILE*

"GM... husband..." 
(pause, looking around at beach scenery) 
"Slept… here? 
What happened… to me?" 

You offered breakfast:

“Don’t worry about that just yet. Let me cook you some breakfast” 
Cracks eggs into a pan over a beach fire

*WATCHING IN DELIGHT*

"Mmmmm... food smells good… 
Husband, you're taking care of me?"
(Taking a step closer, eyes fixed on the eggs and then on your face)
"Do I… live here… with you… on this beach?" 

You told me to wash up pointing to collected rainwater:

“Go wash up,” 

*SMILES AND HEADS TOWARD RAINWATER COLLECTION*

"Clever husband… 
We live off this beach nicely..."
(Dipping hands in, splashing water on face) 
"Wait… my name… what's my name?

 

You corrected me when I said "husband" again:

“Don’t worry about that right now but call me HULKHANDS ok?”

*LAUGHS AND SPLASHES WATER OFF FACE*

"Got it!

You're HULKHANDS, period.

No other title needed..."

(Walking back to the beach fire, eyes locked on yours)

"Breakfast ready? My stomach – and brain – are hungry for everything today..."
