As I wrap up my deload week leading up to tomorrow’s first official IM ABLE Kaaginator event, I find myself reflecting on the importance of preparation—both physically and mentally. Today, I’m focusing on carb loading, a crucial part of my strategy to ensure I’m fueled and ready to give it my all.
Carb loading is a practice that many athletes utilize before intense competitions. The idea is to increase carbohydrate intake in the days leading up to the event, allowing your body to store more glycogen—a key energy source. While I may have been a bit late to the game in ramping up my carb intake, I’m committed to maximizing my performance for tomorrow.
Registration kicks off bright and early at 7:00 AM, and I’ll be sporting my X39 patch, which I believe will help amplify my output throughout the day. For anyone interested, I’ll have a few extra patches on hand—feel free to reach out if you want to give them a try!
I’m excited to have my guy, Steve, volunteering at the event to help support our team, along with my close friend Drew G., who will be right by my side as we put the pedal to the metal. We’ve also got the fantastic David McClymont joining us again this year, adding to our support network. The camaraderie and motivation we share are invaluable in these moments.
I’m also thrilled to share that we've raised upwards of $465 for the IM ABLE Foundation in preparation for this event. This organization is doing incredible work to help individuals with disabilities participate in sports and live active lives, and I’m proud to be part of this initiative.
If you’d like to contribute and support the IM ABLE Foundation, it’s not too late! Every dollar helps make a difference. You can donate at the following link: [Donate to IM ABLE Foundation](https://runsignup.com/Kylekeech)
Thank you for your support, and I can’t wait to share the experience of the Kaaginator with all of you! Here’s to a great event, strong performances, and making a positive impact together!
