As a wheelchair bodybuilder, I firmly believe in the power of being a morning person. Waking up early and starting my day with a positive mindset has numerous benefits for both physical and mental well-being.
Firstly, science has shown that our biological clocks, or circadian rhythms, are naturally aligned with the rising and setting of the sun. Waking up early and getting exposure to natural light helps regulate these rhythms, leading to improved sleep quality and overall health.
Furthermore, research has found that early risers tend to be more proactive, have better problem-solving skills, and experience lower levels of stress and depression compared to night owls. Starting the day with a morning workout not only boosts metabolism and energy levels but also sets a productive tone for the rest of the day.
In terms of wheelchair bodybuilding, morning workouts have been shown to enhance muscle growth and recovery. Testosterone levels are typically higher in the morning, making it an ideal time for strength training and muscle-building exercises.
Ultimately, being a morning person as a wheelchair bodybuilder allows me to maximize my potential, stay disciplined with my training regimen, and achieve my fitness goals. By embracing the early hours of the day, I set myself up for success both in the gym and in life.
