BC - The Bravery Chronicles
EPISODE ONE OF BC BRAVERY CHRONICLES:
*Kyle's hospital-style bedroom, morning sunlight filtering through windows*
Kyle sits upright in bed, table tray across his lap
His mom and staff helper, Jen, enter with warm smiles:
"Morning Kyle! Breakfast ready - oatmeal with banana, scrambled eggs, and whole wheat toast"
Kyle nods gratitude as Jen sets tray down
He picks up remote, flipping TV to...
**FOX BUSINESS CHANNEL**
Stuart Varney discussing "...innovations in disability tech..." and "...updates on Direct Deposit Medical Equipment (DDME) - YOUR COMPANY, Kyle!"
Kyle's eyes lock intensely –
He calls DDME office:
**PHONE CALL WITH SARAH, DDME CFO**
Kyle: "Sarah, it's Kyle. Just saw Stuart Varney discussing us on Fox Business. What updates?"
Sarah: "Kyle, whistleblowers allege equipment failures led to... accidents like yours."
Kyle demands: "Repeat. Everything. Slower."
Sarah: "Whistleblowers claim 'Apollo's Chair' prototype failed safety tests...
Your team overrode warnings, pushed for live trial...
You tested solo, crashed, and... suffered spinal injury.
Alex Thompson signed off on the trial."
Kyle shifts focus to protecting DDME:
"Contain this whistleblower story NOW."
Sarah outlines steps; Kyle chooses:
"Investigation first – prove Alex guilty before any actions."
But then Kyle shocks:
"Opposite – prove Alex's INNOCENCE."
Sarah agrees to redirect investigation.
Kyle suspects frame-up:
"Dig deeper – WHO benefits from destroying Alex AND damaging DDME's reputation?"
Sarah reveals:
"Our rival MedTech Inc, led by Victoria Vex, benefits."
Kyle recalls:
"Victoria threatened us – said we'd 'regret refusing her offer'...
My accident happened LESS THAN 24 LATER.

**Page 1:**
Apollo lay on his rehab bed, staring blankly.
Suddenly, hospital machines beeped wildly.
A figure emerged from glitching shadows:
Page 2:
"Apollo... Kyle Apollo," she said softly.
"I'm EchoFlux. Cybernetic operative.
Formerly Dr. Maya Singh – neurotech researcher."
Apollo's curiosity sparked.
Page 3:
EchoFlux continued, circuits glowing blue:
"Your unique brain waves drew me.
I've tracked your superhero career...
and the accident that wasn't one."
Apollo sat up straighter.
Page 4:
"What do you mean?" Apollo asked intensely.
EchoFlux stepped closer:
"Kyle Apollo, superhero Apollo –
your lives intersected danger. Let me help unravel."
Page 5:
Apollo eyed EchoFlux warily yet hopeful.
"Who sent you?" he asked.
"No one," EchoFlux replied. "My systems freed me.
Now, I choose allies – like possibly you, Kyle."
Page 6:
Apollo nodded slowly...
"Tell me everything."
Chapter 3 draft
Kyle's wheelchair rolls through gym doors, pushed by Vinnie.
Kyle's eyes scan the familiar space – sweat, iron, and determination.
Vinnie: "Time to trade hospital smell for this."
Kyle's face sets in fierce determination.
Kyle's eyes lock onto the heavy iron stacks – his gaze burns with resolve.
Vinnie leans in, whispering:
"Ready to lift more than just weights, bro?"
Kyle: "You mean my spirits?"
Vinnie nods slowly:
"Yeah. Exactly your spirits."
Kyle whispers back:
"Already lifting those... thanks to the accident... and something else."
