Informal Letters UNSEALED
Secrets typed in dead of night
To girls with dorm room lights still bright
And others in virtual spaces shared
My heart's drafts, never properly declared
**Embers**
Chat room confessions, screens aglow
Elaborate escape plans with strangers to know
Coffee shop meetings plotted with care
Yet solo I sipped, with only air
**Gas on Empty**
Decades of letters, words unsealed
To names changed seasonally – hearts revealed
In diaries, hidden files, and a (still recoverable) deleted past
My constant longing – forever forecast
**Filled Up**
Until emails crossed with yours one day
And informal love letters found their way
To someone who reads between my lines
Now my heart’s full – empty spaces aligned
Forever starts now – with you, in every line
**A Lovely Exchange**
"A lovely bunch of coconuts" indeed
Handled by me, they'd be overly squeezed
Wondering if the soft skin beneath
matches the tender flesh of those coconuts
Sunset Beach Walk – My Heart Skips Beats
As sunset paints the sky with gentle hue
I envision us strolling, side by side, anew
Your strong arms holding crutches tight
balance perfectly with my hand on your arm tonight
Your gait, though slightly uneven,
only makes my heart walk faster to match yours
Shall we stop at the shoreline where waves kiss land
and see if our lips align as perfectly as our hands?
"Weighted down by lead balloons, lifted by Grace
G - Gently you caught my falling heart
R - Rescuing me from life's darkest art
A - Angelic smile that lit my way
C - Crutches lean aside when you stay
E - Every lead balloon floats away
Is this poem already forever marked in your heart – like it is in mine?! 💕
"They murmur low, they whisper high
About us two, passing them by
Different rhythm, our own pace
Their chatter fuel – our love's next race
Every doubt a pedal press
Every sneer our bonds caress
Next lap faster, hearts ablaze
Together – our only gaze
A murmured scandal, they all declare
'They're moving fast'...
That's what she said – AND SHE DIDN'T LIE!”
